Posting on Forums with topics relating to your niche, is an essential web marketing strategy, that will quickly spread the word about your website, your signature is the key element when posting in forums so be sure to choose it wisely.

There are many business forums available that will allow you to make advertising posts. By targeting these types of forums it will prevent you from, otherwise feeling uncomfortable or unsure if making a post like this will be frowned upon or get you banned from entering again.

You need to do a bit of investigating first before ever attempting to join in. Get a feel for the web forums and what people are discussing. Be sure to always read the terms of the forum and what is allowed and not allowed before digging in with your input.

Scout it well so you can just slip in seeming like you have always belonged. Do not ever, and I say that with conviction, post blatant ad's or short answers like "great site" or "This is really cool" and "I agree", Posts like that will get you sniffed out and more than likely banned from the forum. You must give valuable input. Give some meaningful suggestions, show that you are interested in what someone is asking for and reply with a genuine motive of wanting to help. Do not just drop some ink and run off to the next forum to gain ground.

This will never give you anything but wasted efforts and some resentful Forum regulars.

If you are scouting a forum and things are a bit confusing or you are not getting the vibe, it is best to just move on rather than trying to blend in and end up breaking some or many of the forum rules, for a lack of understanding. Do not second guess it, there are plenty out there for you to leave your mark so just move along like the good boy or girl that you are.

Visiting 4 or 5 of the top forums in your niche and leaving worthwhile comments will bring you solid targeted traffic and curious viewers. Remember to always link to your site or product in your signature, but first read the guidelines.
