Eating food products rich in fibre allays your digestive problems such as constipation, bloating of stomach or uneasiness. Get a normal bowel movement and continue to have proper bowel movements. It is said that people who have a bowel movement at least once in a day is said to have good digestive system. Frequent bowel movement is also not considered normal, this might be due to diarrhea.

Insoluble fibers stimulate intestinal functioning for proper stool excretion. It absorbs water and facilitates good digestion. Add fruits and vegetables in your diet and have them regularly. Do not consume too much of fibre as it may lead to gas. Also avoid too much of fibre all of a sudden, be sure to take fibre in your diet in different intervals rather than having at once. Gum, mucilage and pectin are categorised as soluble fibre while hemicellulose, lignin and cellulose are categorised as insoluble fiber. These insoluble fibres prevent the re-absorption of estrogen, cholesterol, and toxins. It is essential to understand that not all insoluble fibres are good. Certain food products like lentils, potatoes, cabbage, corn, bananas and broccoli are good insoluble fibres.
