Applied psychology deals with behavioral patterns and changes and is used in treating people with some sort of mental or emotional disorder; using the basic forms of psychological theories and research. It is also widely used in a variety of other, non-medical fields like business, education and government. People who specialize in applied psychology can work as a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist in various places like mental health centers, prisons, university medical schools or colleges, state institutions and hospitals, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, judicial courts, private clinics, and community health centers.
