Sultan Mosque:

This is the first mosque built in Singapore, by 1826 but the version you see today was completed in 1928. This national monument and local landmark has the largest prayer hall that can accommodate more than 5000 Islamic devotees. However, if you want to enter the premises as tourist, then you will need to adhere to strict dress code of the place. This is not a most common travel attraction for most Singapore holiday packages. However, it is a charming and deeply spiritual shrine indeed.

Sri Thandayuthapani Temple:

This temple is also known as Sri Thendayuthapani Temple or Chettiar Hindu Temple. Chettiars were wealthy lenders and early property owners in Singapore. They constructed the original temple in1860. But, it has been renovated and enhanced over period of time. This massive and grand temple in Singapore has rosewood floors, and several stunning sculptures. But the presiding deity of this temple is Lord Thendayuthapani or Lord Murugan. With the deep-felt spiritual vibe, this temple remains a well visited by locals and visitors.
