To correctly clean the wooden toys, mix one part of vinegar with one part water and put it in the spray bottle. Now you can mist and spray the toys with it. In case you think the vinegar’s smell is too strong, you may add a few drops of essential oils like lavender oil. Don’t leave any moisture on the toys, wipe them well.

Never use commercial stains on wooden toys and retro wagons as they are very strong and might be hazardous. Instead, you can use beeswax polish for a secure and a natural finish. You need to reapply it if it begins to fade off within a few months.
The most obvious way to keep the toys for a real good number of years is to store them properly and in a good state. Wrap them in individual thick pieces of clothes and store them in dark and dry place when not in use. Keeping them with cedar or redwood will keep them away from pests.
