As the Federal And State Government hands out hundreds of billions in cash to shore up a failing economy, people mistakenly think the governments' well of generous grants has dried up -- but government grant money expert, Matthew Lesko, is not convinced.

After closely watching the shifting tides in the free money industry for over 30 years, Matthew Lesko has kept up with governmental changes, and understands the implications today's environment actually has on government spending.

Like many things inside the beltway, the idea of "Budget Cutting" is not as clear as it may seem to Americans. For the most part, money program' budgets aren't really undergoing radical cuts; rather, they are seeing noticeably smaller increases than previously forecasted -- rather than 6% expansion, perhaps now only 4% will be received.

Alot of government programs are termed as "entitlements," meaning that those who show up and maintain eligibility, are legally entitled to get assistance, no matter what the government's debt level. These government money programs include Social Security, Medicare, , agricultural price support and hundreds of others.

In respect to money programs that could be in jeopardy of facing budget cuts, middle ground can be typically found. Program managers will do everything possible to trim down extra expenses without drastically interrupting services offered. "They'll sensibly eliminate overhead expenses well ahead of cutting the amount of money they give out," Matthew Lesko insists, "during past budget cuts, I've seen departments disconnect their toll free number just to save a few bucks."
