Dodge Announces Pricing For Its New 2015 Challenger Model Lineup

The 700 horsepower club is getting a new member in 2015. Dodge will now have a car that produces horsepower closer to the Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 Anniversario or the Pagani Huayra. Who said American muscle cars are a thing of the past? Dodge has announced that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, which will feature a 6.2L supercharged, 707 horsepower engine. The Hellcat will have a starting MSRP of $59,995 and feature all the best of the best items included with other trim packages. It is rumored that only 1,200 Hellcats will be produced in 2015 so, you better get in line as soon as possible.

Other than the Hellcat, Dodge has many trim packages for the new 2015 Challenger lineup. The SXT will be the lowest price model of 2015. Starting at $26,995 and equipped with a V6 engine combined with an 8 speed automatic transmission. For those looking for more than the base model will find that the SXT plus will suit them. The SXT Plus offers the same great power train as the SXT, but, includes 20” wheels, a spoiler and Alpine sound are just a few added benefits of the SXT Plus.

... a Hemi you crave, then looking no further than the 2015 Challenger R/T lineup. The R/T starting price will be $31,495 and features all of the same settings as the SXT. The difference in the SXT and the R/T is the Powertrain. The R/T features a 5.7L, 410 horsepower, Hemi. The R/T is also rumored to have an R/T Plus model. The R/T plus model will feature all the benefits of the SXT Plus and include the 5.7L Hemi.

If you want to be at the top of the food chain, then you may need to look at the 485 horsepower, 6.4L Hemi. This Hemi will be featured in the R/T Shaker which starts at $38,495. The R/T Shaker includes the entire top of the line options as well as an upgraded suspension. The next model in the challenger line up is the 392 Hemi. The 392 Hemi has been the king of the challenger lineup. Now it is superseded by the Hellcat. The 392 Hemi will offer everything that the Hellcat offers except for the 6.2L, supercharged engine. The 392 will come with the 6.4L and still hold its own with 485 horsepower.

The Hellcat will be the top of the line model for 2015. With so little Hellcats rumored to be produced they are likely to not only keep their values, but, increase in value over the years. For the car enthusiast that wants to be able to dominate the drag strip or come home with the trophy from the car show they will need to not look any further than the Hellcat.
