Toyota Motor Sales Reports Their Best Month In Six Years
Toyota has long been known to be one of America's most loved imported brands of cars. With their award winning gas efficiency in their vehicles and their widely known durability in almost all of their makes and models, Toyota has established themselves as a leader in the auto industry all over the world.
In fact, Toyota Japan's auto pride has just reported that June offered their best sales report in six years. Overall sales for Toyota rose in June a hefty 11.9 percent with 201,714 new Toyota's sold. This was quite a surprise in the industry as sales for Toyota for June were predicted to be a rise by only 1.3%. These sales numbers are the best the company has seen since 2008 and is welcomed relief for a slumping auto industry.
In addition to June's stellar sales report, Bill Fay, Toyota's U.S. division Group Vice President commented on Toyota's best sales by stating that he has been tracking the steady increase in sales since the beginning of the year and expects the trend to continue throughout the rest of the year. Barring any unforeseen downturns economically, he feels the trend is pretty ...
... solid.
As Toyota's best sales were announced for June, it seems there are other manufacturers celebrating the upturn as well. The good news about auto sale increases did not just affect Toyota. In fact, almost all auto manufacturers saw an increase in projected sales for June which is great news for manufacturers who have been experiencing the worst decline in the auto industry sales in U.S. history since the Great Depression. This is much welcome news for so many manufacturers who have been waiting for the steady sales trend to return. The news has restored a belief that maybe the auto slump is finally on the mend a little bit.
While in general, the warmer months are the best for the auto industry, the last several years have not shown the gains that were initially projected for the auto industry. Up until 2014 the growth in the industry was particularly slow in the U.S. and parts of Europe. As the U.S. and global markets move into steadier paced increases, the auto industry and Japan's auto giant are expected to see steady sales return to the market.
The present forecasts for interest rate levels as indicated by the Federal Reserve are encouraging. The present indication is that the rates will stay lower for the rest of the year allowing for a greater chance of a more stayed economic auto recovery.
