Shopping for pearl bracelets is an adventure in style and color. Most people think of only the "pearl-colored" bracelets, but there are many kinds, and price ranges to choose from. The most commonly heard of pearl bracelets are the freshwater pearls and the cultured pearls. All jewelry stores sell them and also the online shopping sites. A freshwater pearl is from a freshwater mussel or clam, and not an oyster. Cultured pearls are developed by human intervention. Mostly all pearls of today are cultured. The many color choices are created by man. They are still beautiful. Becoming very popular right now, are the pearl and leather style bracelets. These can be a little less expensive because the bracelet, also with all the leather, isn't using as many pearls. The look of these is very exotic.

Besides the standard pearl bracelets, the pearls are very popular in pink, and the Tahitian black pearl. The Tahitian pearl is naturally black, from oysters ...
... caught off the coasts of Tahiti. Black pearl jewelry is a popular souvenir of a visit to French Polynesia. Other colors making their appearance, are blue, beige, lavender, white, teal and coral. There are other colors, but these are the ones that are seen at most stores. Another popular pearl is the Akoya, found in the akoya oyster. They are farmed mainly in Japan and China. Their colors are mainly white, cream, rose and silver.

While shopping for the pearl bracelet, so many types of bracelets are to choose from. Some of them have a heart or cross dangling from it. There are the bracelets that combine pearls with other gems such as rubies or garnets. The pearl strands can be twisted. They can be combined also with gold or silver. The huge price difference from an imitation pearl to a real one is vast. It's important to shop around for the style, size and color that you really want. It's an investment of beauty that you want to last a lifetime.
