4 Tips To Alleviate Back Pain

Many individuals suffer from different kinds of back pain, especially lower back pain from various reasons. These back and neck pain can occur anytime during the year and to different age groups. In this article, we give you tips to alleviate back pain and prevent it from reoccurring.

Maintaining a good position of your spine:

If you suffer from back and neck pain, the first thing to do is adjust your posture. Be it if you are sitting or if you are sleeping, you must ensure that your spine is in a straight line. Always sit on a chair that supports your back and keeps it straight. Preferable use a straight wooden back chair to support the back and within a few days you will notice a decrease in the lower back pain.

When you are sleeping, always sleep on your side, where your spine should not curve abnormally. The only way to alleviate back and neck pain while sleeping is to sleep without a pillow. When you are walking, do not hunch your shoulders as this will make your spine curve and apply pressure on your lower back causing lower back pain.

... neck pain is to exercise regularly. There are two reasons for that. The first reason involves the muscles becoming strong and flexible to support your bones and any other movement. Your muscles in your back and abdominal area will be strong enough to support your back therefore reducing the back pain.

The second reason is when you exercise; your body releases the natural hormone known as endorphins. This hormone helps in the reduction of pain, especially in lower back pain. Light exercises like walking, swimming, yoga and aerobics will help increase the endorphins in the body to help your body.

Insomnia as a cause:

Your body needs at least a minimum of 6 hours of rest per day. If you sleeping patterns change or is disrupted, you will find your lower back pain increases. Your neck and back pain also will increase. Once you ensure that you sleep at a proper time and get proper rest in the process, you will find a considerable difference in your back pain.

Medication:

Medication in the form of painkillers and supplements will help aid in back pain. Iron and calcium supplements will help strengthen the muscles and bones in the back and allow you to perform normally. Painkillers will help reduce the pain so that you will not suffer from any discomfort. However, this painkiller should be taken under the strict advice of doctors or specialists as over consumptions of these medications can lead to side effects.
