However, emergence of LED bulbs was proved to even cheaper lighting solution with range of 6W to up to 30W power consumption level.

Popular one for CFL bulbs are warm/soft white, bright white, cool white and daylight. On the other hand LED bulbs have different colour bulbs. Applications – Due to its size and colour constraints CFL bulbs are generally used for home lighting purpose. Safety – In CFL bulbs mercury is used as vapours in glass tubes, which though is in very small amount but considered as poisonous. Apart from mercury, in CFL bulbs sulphur is also used for creating different lighting variants. These chemicals are non-human friendly. On other hand, LEDs are human friendly energy saving light bulbs created without use of harmful chemicals.

Lifespan – Average CFL bulbs life is 6000-15000 hours, which is surely quite a long time in comparison to incandescent bulbs, but are not as competitive as LEDs which have normal lifespan of 35000-50000 hours.
