The Best Way To Treat Menopausal Symptoms - Bhrt

A lot of women have a deep rooted fear of aging. They worry about certain changes that occur. Aging cannot be stopped as it is a process all humans must face. The best that we can do is try to manage the entire process as best as we can.
Many women are scared of menopause and they have their good reasons for being scared. For some women, menopause is associated with so much psychological and physical pain. In this brief post, we would not concern ourselves with the psychological aspect of things. We shall concentrate on the physical distress that a woman can face before, during and after menopause. We shall be looking at this with a view to offering a simple, safe and effective solution.
Attempts at finding a treatment for menopausal symptoms have been made in the past. In 19966 Robert A. Wilson MD gave women serious hope when he in his book titled "Feminine Forever" declared that women could stop menopause by taking estrogen when the body stops producing it naturally. The idea was that since this hormone (estrogen) was responsible for the cycle that leads to menstruation, and that menopause begins when the hormone ...
... ceases to be produced by the body, taking this hormone into the body would force the body into functioning as it would when the hormone was produced naturally in it.
Theoretically, the argument was very sound. In fact, the treatment of postmenopausal women with estrogen began and continued for a long time. Actually, it is still an option today. From this, we can assume that that was a step in the right direction. We said a step in the right direction and not a solution because there were certain issues that arose as time went on.
Hormones are chemicals that have a given chemical structure. The hormones that were used in this treatment were not of the same chemical structure as hormones produced naturally in the body. This resulted in major side effects which largely reduced the effectiveness of this method of treating menopausal symptoms. This is the point where Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) came on board.
As a way of correcting the issues that arose with the former approach to hormone therapy, BHRT rather than use just any type of hormone, uses supplemental hormones that have the same chemical structure as hormones produced naturally in the body. This resulted in a safer and more efficient way of treating not just menopausal symptoms but other cases of hormonal imbalance.
After years of being used as an alternative to traditional hormone therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy has been largely accepted as the best treatment for menopausal symptoms. The side effects associated with other hormone therapy methods have been removed. Women and indeed men can now enjoy hormone therapy without fear of terrible side effects.
