It is of critical importance that young people in elementary school and high school study geography.It is definitely a must to be familiar with the geography of your own state and country, so they will become good members of society. However, it is also necessary to study about global geography as well, since they are going to be participants in today's ever-globalizing world. If they know nothing but their own country, what would happen if they are transferred to another country on business? They will be lost!

So it is wonderful that in today's world geography class is usually thought to be an essential part of anybody's education. In grade school, young ones learn about their own country through studying maps, and sometimes widen their understanding of the world by studying one foreign culture. Later in junior high school they usually learn about the cultural legacy of other continents and their cultural highlights. This broadens the young adult's horizons and gives insight into their role as a citizen of the world. Then later in highschool they take advanced courses in geography, ...
... studying the world, its demographics, its historical interactions, and other important parts of our world heritage.

It is of supreme importance that these young people get excellent grades on their geography tests so that they make use of these excellent opportunities. Teachers need appropriate tools such as a blank world map to distribute to students for study and test preparation. During my high school years I made good use of such tools, which helped me memorize material and test myself. I used to simply look at the blank white map and attempt to remember the place name or land feature, and if I couldn't recall it I would then reference the regular labelled map This method of test preparation is very effective, because there is no doubt as to whether or not you will pass the test.

So I encourage all teachers and students to make use of a blank world map in their studies to aid in memorization so that they can better understand the world they live in.
