Bangladesh Cricket
The national cricket team which represents Bangladesh at International cricket is also known as “Tigers”. In the world of cricket, Bangladesh became the 10th Test Team at the end of the year 2000. For ICC Trophy in England, Bangladesh played the very first match of International cricket in 1979. Bangladesh achieved two victories and faced two defeats hence it was a draw tournament for Bangladesh. Seven years later, the Bangladesh team played match against Pakistan which was its first one day International match in 1986 in Asia Cup. Achievement of ICC Trophy in 1997, Bangladesh became qualified for the cricket world cup 1999.
The overview of cricket performances of Bangladesh team in different platform in the last decade is as follows:
1.	 Year 2001:
Bangladesh played 8 test matches in the year 2001. In the tour for cricket series in Zimbabwe, Bangladesh team lost all the tests during the series. The team also toured New Zealand for the test series and lost the two matches, both by an innings.
2.	Year 2002:
This year the Bangladesh team played four series of two test matches each. The matches ...
... were played against Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa. Unfortunately the team lost all the eight matches.
3.	Year 2003:
This year too wasn’t good for Bangladesh cricket team. The team again lost the test match against Pakistan by only one wicket. It was a neck to neck match and a golden chance for Bangladesh team to win the test match against such a competent cricket team of Pakistan but Bangladesh team lost the chance.
4.	Year 2004:
The year 2004 was a good year for the Bangladesh cricket history. For the third time in test matches history, the Bangladesh team defeated India in 10th ODI. It was an achievement because Bangladesh won for the third time in test matches.
5.	Year 2005:
This year came with the fourth victory of Bangladesh in Test cricket. The year 2005 was even more better than 2004 because Bangladesh team made a score record of 448 runs in the very first innings against Zimbabwe. Even Bangladesh team won the match this year against the greatest rivalry in cricket for any country, Australia.
6.	Year 2006:
Bangladesh team won the first ODI in year 2006 against Sri Lanka. If we call the year 2006 as a record holder year in the history of Bangladesh then it would not be wrong. In 2006 one of the batsmen of Bangladesh team Shahriar Nafees became the first cricketer of Bangladesh team who scored over 1000 runs beating the cricket live score boards 
7.	Year 2007:
This year was an important year because of the World Cup. Bangladesh had strived to win the world cup. Bangladesh won three series which were the record holder victory. They played against Zimbabwe and won with 5-0 at home and 3-1 in Zimbabwe.
This team won against India in the next match of world cup 2007. India was drop out of the world cup because of Bangladesh victory. When entered in super eight, Bangladesh however lost all the matches of the tournament.
With the major victories the team has become one of the most competent teams of the world. With the introduction of BPLT Bangladesh Premier League T20, it has become more popular.
