The process of recycling goes through different phases, where each stage improves and ensures the quality of the output. The first step of the process is the collection and categorizing of plastic materials where all pieces are gathered and classified according to their kind. There are various kinds of plastic such as thermoset, polyethylene terephthalate or PET, polystyrene or Styrofoam, polyvinyl chloride or PVC, polytetrafluoroethylene or Teflon, and many others. The second stage of the procedure is the washing or cleaning of all the plastics gathered. The dirt, paper labels, and other deposits should be taken away to avoid impurities once the recycled product is finished. It also includes a process called thermal depolymerization which separates synthesized plastic for a more accurate result.

The chunks of plastic that have undergone the diffusion will be chopped down and sliced into flakes which will later on be melted. The third stage will involve turning the flakes into liquid and will later on be transformed into the recycled product. After the plastic is sculpted and solidified, it will then be ready for purchasing.

Recycling is one, if not the best, of the most effective solutions to pollution. There are countless benefits that you can get from recycling. One of which is conserving massive amount of energy. Imagine the amount of energy that can be saved from manufacturing more plastic. Another is saving water. Water pollution is now an emerging problem. Due to global warming and contamination of bodies of water, water is no starting to become scarce. Aside from the above advantages, recycling also lengthens human existence. It saves the planet which, in turn, provides shelter to people.
