That's easy. What all lottery players want are a few good numbers. Analyzing and examining the past winning numbers gives the serious lottery player the best lottery numbers to play in the next drawing. By doing so, they dramatically improve their chances of winning the lottery.

Lottery Strategy 101

This is the basic lottery strategy used by serious lottery players. Generate a reduced play list. For example, a 6/49 game has a 49 number play list. But, a serious lottery player may reduce the play list from 49 to 30 numbers. If he does a good job, the player's chances improve dramatically from 1:13,983,816 to 1:593,775 if all 6 of the winning numbers are in the 30 number play list. His chances have increased by a factor of 22.5! By doing this 13.4 Million non-winning wagers are no longer in play. The player doesn't throw away his money on any ...
... of these losers. His money will be concentrated only on wagers that have a chance of winning.

Playing the Odds With Cycles

The best tool every deviced to create a reduced play list goes by the name of Cycles. Cycles locates the drawings in a lotteries history that have produced the most winning numbers. By doing so, the player knows where to look for the numbers he will include in his reduced play list. This is what is called playing the odds; the same thing professional gamblers do every day. Does this work every time? No. But, just like the professional gambler, he is confident that over time he will prevail as one of the best in the game.

Using the Ohio 6/49 lottery as an example, I'll show you the immense power of Cycles. Although, this work equally well for any lottery. The Cycles and their values may be different because all lotteries are different. But, the overall concept and effect is universal. In other words, Cycles are very important tools for any lottery.

In the past, some lottery players might create a reduced play list from the winning numbers that occurred in the last 10 drawings. This is called Cycle 1-10. The question is, has this been a good strategy for the Ohio Classic Lotto? Let's find out.

Over a period of 205 drawings, Cycle 1-10 produced the 6 jackpot winning numbers 28 times. However, over this same period, the best choice was actually Cycle 33-42. It produced 37 lottery jackpot winners over the same period. That is an improvement of 32.1 percent! By using Cycle 33-42, the player would gather the winning numbers from the 33rd through 43rd previous drawings for his reduced play list. This is probably a sobering moment for any Ohio player that has been using Cycle 1-10.

Lottery Strategies - The Best and the Worst

Knowing that Cycle 33-42 was the best choice, one has to ask, what was the worst choice? The answer is Cycle 18-27. It sadly only provided 22 lottery jackpots. So, the best outperformed the worst by an amazing 68.2%! It is clear, your play list choices are pivotal to your success. Playing the odds won't assure that you will win the lottery but, it will improve your chances of winning the lottery.

Here is a question for all lottery players in Ohio. How many of you knew that Cycle 33-42 had been the best choice over the last 205 drawings? Or, how many knew that Cycle 18-27 was the worst?
