Tv Calibration: An Important Task For Tv Lovers!
Gone are the days when you could just buy the television, bring it home, unpack it, plug it in and start watching. Technology is getting more sophisticated with each passing day. In order to make technology work for you, you need to customize it first. These days televisions come with various customizable features. To get the most out of your TV watching experience, you need to adjust its audio visual settings first. Whether you have HDTV or LCD TV, both need proper calibration. You need to spend some time in adjusting its settings so as to get the best quality picture.
Why calibration is necessary?
If you have ever noticed a TV in the showroom, you must have seen its display. It is nearby perfect, right? But, when you bring the same TV to home things get changed. Why so? Actually, dealers set the brightness and contrast settings as per their showroom ambience. These settings never work for your room ambience. Therefore, it is necessary to do TV Calibration. If this calibration task is not your cup of tea then you can also hire experts for the same. For getting the best picture from your new HDTV, make ...
... some adjustments. These include:
• Black level is for “Brightness” control.
• White level is for “Contrast” or “Picture.”
• Sharpness
• Color saturation
• Color Tint
All the above given settings make your TV watching experience more pleasant.
How to calibrate your TV at home?
Remember, enhanced brightness and contrast can damage your TV display technology as well as diminish its life span. In order to adjust it perfectly, check the lightning conditions of your room where you are going to watch your TV and then control the picture settings accordingly.
Below are the steps for TV Calibration:
1. Reset your factory settings as these were designed to suit the in-store ambience. When you bring your TV to home, you need to reset its factory settings for calibrating its display as per your own environment.
2. If there is any dynamic display then disable it. This in-built ambient sensor is used to calibrate the TV color automatically as per the environment.
3. Now, you need to adjust the brightness. Increasing brightness is the process of reducing blackness. Adjust it as per the comfort of your eyes.
4. Contrast adjustment is for controlling white light. You can adjust it till the time you can distinguish between dark blacks, light blacks, dark whites and light whites.
5. By adjusting the sharpness settings, you can make picture crisper. HDTVs already have sharpness thus, you don’t need to adjust it. But, if your TV is not high definition then sharpness can improve picture quality.
6. There is a Tint setting in your TV. No need to touch it. This tint setting is calibrated already.
Therefore, aforementioned steps can make your TV display better. If you are finding this task complicated then you can also call technical experts for guidance. They can guide you regarding the entire process of TV calibration.
