When before there were difficulties with coordination among neighboring countries, these days there is almost no excuse for not being able to communicate with each other, especially when the topic of conversation is something important like oral health care. For society, one of the advantages is the reduction of the carbon footprint precisely because there will be fewer people on the road and there will be less need for use of resources such as air conditioning, electricity, water, etc that an institution will need to operate on. Dental institutions have thus begun to support the movement of teaching students through online instruction.

Ideas, preferences, observed treatment methods, etc will not only be taught to particular students from one dental school in a particular country but may be learned by a dental student in a different country within the comforts of his or her own home environment.
