The standard cleaning process begins with the design of the measuring instrument that needs to be calibrated. The design has to be able to “hold a calibration” through its calibration interval. In other words, the design has to be capable of measurements that are “within engineering tolerance” when used within the stated environmental conditions over some reasonable period of time. Having a design with these characteristics increases the likelihood of the actual measuring instruments performing as expected.Cleaning of Pressure GaugeReceive the pressure gauge and clean the pressure gauge (To make it free form the chemical contamination) as per the steps mentioned below. First of all clean the outer surface of the pressure gauge with cotton waste to remove dirt / dust etc. Take Tri-Chloro Ethylene bottle and such Tri-Chloro Ethylene in the 200 ml. injection. Fill the injection completely with Tri-Chloro Ethylene. Inject thee TCE in the pressure gauge to clean the inside part of the pressure gauge. Repeat the above mentioned steps till approx, clean Tri-Chloro Ethylene comes out after injection to ensure ...
... that pressure gauge is cleaned from inner side completely. Cleaning of Glassware Remove obviously loose contamination mechanically from the glassware by bruising, shaking with water (if necessary, containing pieces of filter paper). Remove all or grease by suitable solvents. Neatly fill the glassware with an aqueous solution of a sapless detergent, and shake vigorously. Rinse preparedly with tap water until trace of the detergents removed. Finally rinse with distilled or deionizer water. Verify that the walls of the glassware are clean. If the wall are not satisfactorily clean after the above treatment fill the glassware with the mixture of equal parts by volume of saturated solution of potassium dichromate and concentrated Sulphuric acid, and allow to stand for 1 hour. Take care that the acid does not come in contact with the outside of glassware, unless it is known that the filling of the graduation marks is resistant to it. Rinses the glassware again with tap water until traces of acid are removed. Finally rinse with distilled or demonized water and again verify that the walls are clean: if they are not, repeat the procedure. After cleaning, rinse the glassware, adjust to contain, with ethyl Alcohol and dry with clean air at room temperature. Alternatively, if the glassware is not required for immediate use, it may be kept filled with distilled or demonized water. It is not necessary to dry a glassware marked or deionizer water. It is not necessary to dry glassware marked ‘To Deliver’.
