The internet has spawned a multitude of online marketing methods through the years. Search engines have changed the way in which they crawl and index sites, forcing marketers to evolve their tactics. After a time, internet users become weary of the irrelevant content posted by search engines, forcing them to shift gears once again.

Keywords, while still used today, have taken on a role supporting the content driven methods that are so effective in today's market.
