Changes Made From The Ipad 4 Digitizer

A new device usually means that changes are or must be made, and that is the case for Apple’s fifth generation installment to its widely known tablet, the iPad.

In recent weeks, photos have been leaked in the internet that featured the look of Apple’s fifth generation iPad, although, changes done on the iPad 5 have been mostly design. Let us be honest, it has been that way ever since the iPad 3, but it does not take away the fact that Apple is trying their hardest to not only make their device provide consumers with the best experience with its functionality, but also assures consumers that it will also look good.

Apparently, the changes were made in order to make the fifth installment look more like a larger version of the iPad mini. So, basically, this installment in Apple’s tablet series is an upsize of the iPad mini. Whether or not this should excite consumers is their own prerogative and opinion.

Included in the changes that were evident in the fifth generation iPad are the differences in the iPad 5’ digitizer to the iPad 4 digitizer.

... when compared to that of the iPad 4 digitizer is the way it looks. True to their goal of making the iPad 5 look more like the iPad mini, they made the sides of the screen narrower compared to its predecessors. As a direct result, the digitizer also needs to be made narrower because if not, the metal from which it is made from will show on the glass screen which is not good for consumers, aesthetically.

Talking about the metal that is used for the construction of the touch screen digitizer, the fifth installment is leaning towards the use of indium tin oxide. This is different from what the previous installments had which was either silver or tin which was why it was silvery in appearance.

Why the change? Apple has not released a statement why the sudden change in the material used. Of course, knowing Apple, it will definitely be for the purposes of making the device operate better than it did before. Or it could also be due to the fact that a bronze looking metal looks cooler than one that is silver. It is crazy, but it is a possibility. Just look at that bronze colored metal compared to a boring grey one.

In addition, the Retina display is still present. So, to those who were worried that the device will suffer a significant blow with its display because of a change in the digitizer’s design, you can calm down now. It is still as good as ever, and possibly even better.

Apple also installed two connectors compared to the usual one in order to make it more stable and possibly faster.

So, with improvements made from the iPad 4 digitizer, will the public be seeing a better iPad this time and not just refinements of previous features?
