Luis Fernando Suarez, coach of Honduras, has announced his 23-man squad for the World Cup. In which, six British based players are in his list, including hull defender Maynor Figueroa, Stoke midfielder Wilson Palacios, Wigan duo Roger Espinoza, Juan Carlos Garcia, Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre and Rangers midfielder Arnold Peralta.

Though the Honduras has good keepers such as Yul Arzu, John Bodden, Jose Mendoza, 20-year-old Luis Lopez still earns himself one of the three goalkeeper berths in the squad thanks to his good form for Real Espana this season.

The Honduras will travel to US next Monday to play three warm-up friendlies. They will meet with Turkey in Washington on 29 May and Israel in Houston on 1 June. Six days later they will face England in Miami before fly to Brazil. In Brazil, they will meet France, Ecuador and Switzerland in Group E.

Goalkeepers: Noel Valladares, Donis Escober, Luis Lopez

Defenders: Brayan Beckeles, Emilio Izaguirre, Juan Carlos Garcia, Maynor Figueroa, Victor Bernardez, Osman Chavez and Juan Pablo Montes.
