Beauty Is Truth - A Lakefront View
You always see it in the movies. Lakefront property. It speaks to you. An old great film, On Golden Pond, had a house on a lake that some in British Columbia have said looks a lot like Shuswap lake real estate. Named after the Shuswap Indians, Shuswap lake real estate may very well hold a panorama close to what those Indians first saw.
Shuswap lake is 309.596 square kilometers consisting of a four arm-like shape that looks a lot like the letter ‘H'. Surrounding Shuswap lake real estate lie several gold star parks offering campgrounds that people travel miles to enjoy. Shuswap Lake Provincial Park in Scotch Creek offers campgrounds, breathtaking beaches and picnic areas all cared for and well kept. Adams River is another great find where you may stumble across a salmon run locals call Salute to the Sockeye when scores of sockeye salmon spawn every four years. The next run is in 2010. Plus, along the shoreline and across the hilltops sweep trails for biking, hiking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. Weaved along like a painting, Shuswap lake real estate blends with this awesome natural landscape. It could be ...
... the young city of Salmon Arm with its alleged longest wooden wharf in North America or the fact that it has a great view of Mt. Bastion, the official background image of the British Columbia driver's license. Go ahead take a look (if you're from out of country ask a local, they're nice, they'll show you). There's also the artist enclave of Sorrento where creative pottery, paintings and bed and breakfast treasures can be found.
As you drive around this natural jewel, perched up dreams of Shuswap lake real estate emerge and scatter the area bringing with each a feeling of another time, another century. Luxurious villas gently jut out for a peak over the enormous lake. Nestled amongst the ever changing foliage is certainly a privilege. Just like in all those movies that always look so perfect, so picturesque. However, in addition to the striking beauty that surrounds Shuswap lake real estate it is the real estate itself that is so unique. Plant life that ranges from well known trees such as the douglas fir, red cedar and balsam fir to the pacific dogwood, a soft white flowering tree and British Columbia's floral emblem. Migrating and local birds nest in and around Shuswap lake real estate from April through June and armfuls of trout can be pulled out of the lake at any given time.
The English poet, John Keats once said, "Beauty is truth - truth, beauty - that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." Shuswap Lake and Shuswap lake real estate speak for itself.
