After much theoretical study and practical trainings, you graduate from the program. The next step is to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). This certification examination is required in all states. Before sitting for this examination which is offered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), you should ensure that you are well prepared. One tip is to get a study guide for this examination.
After passing this examination, you can now take the state board exams to obtain your physician assistant license. This test differs from state to state. In order to become licensed, you must pass this licensing board examination. One thing to note is that you must pass this test every two years in order to stay licensed.
