Here, in first technique, weaver either uses frames or pit looms. The looms which are fixed in a frame and peddle of the loom will be at floor level. The weaver weaves using hands and legs by sitting on a stool.
In the second, two weavers with single loom constantly works for producing Uppada saree. Here, the works such as zari brocading are made on cotton fabrics. By making warp and weft continuously, weavers results beautiful cotton fabric. He throws the shuttle which is carrying weft.
The contrast embroidery works like zari, kundans, stones, beads and mirror works are involved in these sarees.
These are the most costly fabrics with dignified patterns. The motifs such as flowers, leafs, birds, animals, peacocks and other geometrical shapes are designed intricately.
Uppada sarees ranges from 3000/- to 20000/- as per the quality and designing works are considered.
