Pinhole glasses are non prescription visual aids that increase vision in those people suffering from the majority of eye disorders. Instead of going to the eye doctor and spending hundreds of dollars on glasses and contact lenses or even thousands of dollars on laser surgery take a look at what pinhole glasses do for your vision.

Although most sets of the glasses are peculiar looking and will get you a lot of stares whenever you go out into public there are some newer designs that look like modern day sunglasses. How these glasses work is on the primacy of light blocking. The glasses are made out of an opaque material such as plastic that can easily stay in tact with several small holes drilled in it. These small holes are drilled all over the lenses to allow enough light to reach your retina that you can properly see, but not so much that your peripheral vision kicks in. Whenever you have your eyes open your retina is constantly receiving light from all angles, once you cut off those angles and reduce the amount of light reaching the retina ...
... your vision will become limited in width and being able to see objects around you but it will increase in focus on those objects.

The pinhole glasses were originally created by native Alaskans as a means to avoid snow vision. The original glasses were perceived to be made out of bones of a large mammal such as a seal that had holes knocked in them. What these original glasses accomplished was the blocking of reflected light from the snow, and an increase in their field of vision.

Overall pinhole glasses are an innovative invention that allow the wearer to increase their focus and amount of distance they can see from. If you are in the market for new glasses or contact lenses first take a look at what is available in the market of pinhole glasses.

Patricia Frazier found out about pinhole glasses through a friend. Her personal discovery and experiences on the benefits of this product led her to write blogs about pinhole glasses and other vision improvement techniques.
