Jeep Introduces 2015 Jeep Renegade

The new 2015 Jeep Renegade has a classy look, loaded with new technology. It looks great in the city, but has features made for rough terrain. The new Renegade is mid-sized and is promised to be affordable. The new Renegade is suitable for someone looking for a quality vehicle to take off road with expensive looks, and not the high price tag.

While some specifications like price and fuel economy have been yet to be released, Jeep has given enough tidbits for people to be excited about this all new crossover. The Renegade will be able to seat up to 5 comfortably. It will have an available nine-speed automatic transmission and can be paired with a 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel engine, or 2.4 Liter MultiAir2 gas engine.

From the grille to the headlights, to the rigid stance, the Jeep Renegade clearly resembles the legendary Jeep Wrangler through and through. The new Renegade borrows the Wrangler's wide fenders, resembling older models such as the Willy, and the tail lamps resemble the Wrangler's very much as well.

... the letter is placed on many places all over the Renegade. Many of the places the letter will be placed on has not yet been revealed. These letters are reminiscent of the old Army jerry cans, which were often found on the old Willy Jeeps.

The new Renegade also has other fun features such as a topographic map of Moab, Utah inside the storage bin underneath the center stack. This is just one of the many promised hidden features the new Renegade comes with. The design team has not revealed any other features, claiming that part of the fun is discovering them for yourself.

The Renegade does indeed have removable roof panels, however, they will need a key and a couple of hands to remove. This design choice was felt necessary, because the designers thought that users would try to remove the panels while the vehicle was in motion, thus making the panels fly off. By having the user use a key, it is virtually impossible to remove the panels while in motion.

The drive mode system of the new Renegade is essentially no different than the new Cherokee's, however, the Renegade has so many different drive train combinations, 16 total, that the Selec-Terrain system, has significantly more deep parameters to ensure usability of all the different combinations. 6,000 different parameters were altered, and each cog specifically calibrated. So in total, 54,000 parameters is more accurate after all nuances are added in.

The Renegade is going to be built in Italy, despite the design process taken place in Auburn Hills. Also, European sales are expected to outpace sales of those in the United States. The design team's core was sent to Turin for final specifications during engineering changes and this will be the first Jeep to be introduced outside of the United States.

There is a lot to look forward to with the all- new 2015 Jeep Renegade, either being the new design features or the throw-back look of the old Willy's, the new Renegade will be sure to please old Jeep fans and people looking to affordably invest in their first Jeep.
