Consistency in discipline and enforcing rules should be on the top of most parenting lists, but quite often the couple can't seem to agree. In two parent households quite often one parent has a lot more resolve than the other. Children can be master manipulators in the home when it involves singling out the parent who is known to give in. In short, both parents need to be on the same page at all times when it comes to rules and discipline. We do not advocate giving-in even one time because that just opens the door to future problems.
