Bali offers the tourist many activities. Among them is scuba diving. Scuba diving is a fun and exciting sport and the island of Bali offers you plenty of places to do this. The clear water and warm seas are ideal for this sport, added to this are the wide varieties of brightly colored tropical fish and fascinating coral that you can discover.

As well as the natural beauty there are also wrecks to explore. A noteworthy one is the Tulamben wreck in North Bali. This is the Liberty ship that was torpedoed by the Japanese in WWII. The wreck was beached for 20 years until an eruption from one of the volcanoes drove it into the sea. Now it is a fun exhibit for scuba divers to see and is one of the most famous artificial reefs in Asia.

There are scuba diving schools and programs in Bali that you should attend if you are not an experienced scuba diver. These programs will teach you all about breathing and safety etc. so that you can really enjoy your scuba diving. You will also explore the depths with experienced divers and instructors, who will help you, make the most of your scuba diving experience. There is so much to ...
... see and learn, that you will be well advised to take advantage of one of these programs. They will take you out on dives and show you the wonders of the underwater world of Bali. Once you have learned how to scuba dive, a wonderful world awaits you. Bali has some of the best waters to enjoy this sport. There are many different dives available.

In the north there are some diving spots that are in quieter waters. Some of them can be accessed from the shore and can provide some quiet viewing for the novice scuba diver. However there are also dives with strong undercurrents for more experienced divers. Here you can experience drift diving and will see deep crevices with a variety of different types of fish.

This includes, at the right time of year, sightings of the somewhat rare oceanic sunfish. Bali is one of just 2 locations in the world that this particular fish can be observed on a regular basis at certain times of year. You can also see cuttlefish and octopus on the north east locations. Added to this is a vast variety of brightly colored tropical fish and eels that burrow into the sand.

There are beautiful coral reefs especially around the Liberty wreck. Here you will see many different types of coral in various colors. Many little fish have made their homes here, giving you an even better number of species to observe.

The opportunities for good diving spots are endless in Bali. It not only has natural scenic beauty overland, but a wonderful underwater world as well. This fascinating world is just waiting for you to explore it. It does not matter whether you are an experienced diver or just a novice you will still enjoy this exciting sport in one of the most famous scuba diving places in the world.
