Mobile technologies are playing an increasingly important role in college students' academic lives. Devices such as smartphones, tablets, and e-book readers connect users to the world instantly, heightening access to information and enabling interactivity with others. Applications that run on these devices let users not only consume but also discover and produce content. As such, they continue to transform how college students learn, as well as influence their learning preferences, both within and outside the classroom.Genextstudents offers free study materials worth Rs 1599.

The popularity of mobile technologies among college students is increasing dramatically. Students suggest that many undergraduate students bring their own digital devices to college, favoring small and portable ones such as smartphones and tablets. Although students still rate laptops 85 percent as the most important devices to their academic success, the importance of mobile devices such as tablets 45 percent, smartphones 37 percent, and e-book readers 31 percent is noticeably on the rise. Increasingly, students say they want the ability to access ...
... academic resources on their mobile devices. In fact, 67 percent of students' smartphones and tablets are reportedly being used for academic purposes, a rate that has nearly doubled in just one year.

In the upcoming year, Mobile learning will play a major role in education sector. Everything will be techno based. Student’s progress will take higher up as in they will be aware of the current cult and may even try to make a new cult. As in for students everything comes under one roof they will try to pour and dig more from the technology. Mobile devices are pivotal in students’ everyday life and mobile technologies are expected to play a bridging role between informal and formal practices of learning. However, their role in supporting students’ learning activities does not seem to be as relevant yet. And it seems more consistent to consider mobile devices to have an alongside role, regarding learning experiences. Mobile learning values and defends in its own unique way the introduction of what is radically new in the technological, social and cultural spheres of human life and activity. We argue that human beings are obsessed by the desire to change, to explore, to learn, design and to introduce what is absolutely new into the framework of past conventions and protocols.

Mobile learning opens our minds to the possibility of a radically new paradigm and encourages us to abandon the constraints of our habitual ways of thinking, learning, communicating, designing and reacting. The kind of informal learning through the use of mobile devices makes it an even more potent tool of educational communication than the customary forms and modes of traditional education. These revolutionary changes developed out of the unforeseen significance of human social life generally more “mobile”, creative and opportunistic, than the formal modes of traditional education.

Convenience, flexibility, engagement, and interactivity are all factors that make mobile learning more attractive to students. Many universities now use mobile technologies and create mobile-optimized versions of their websites or build stand-alone applications that can be downloaded from mobile application stores. In nearby years, Smartphones and tablets will be the most useful source for students.
