Tandoori chicken is a chicken based dish which is very popular in the Punjab region of India. The distinctive red hue of Tandoori Chicken has made it a well-liked dish at Indian restaurants worldwide, and this special dish can also be prepared at home. Chicken is marinated in yogurt and seasoned with Tandoori ChickenMasala Powder. It has a well known history behind it going back to the Mughal age. The dish is usually cooked at a high temperature in the tandoor oven for about 10 minutes. This gives it a charred and smoky flavor, which accentuates the taste of the chicken.

Though readymade Tandoori ChickenMasala Powder is available in almost every grocery store still if you want to make it at home here are few easy steps to do so. Take Coriander powder 1 tablespoon, Turmeric powder half tablespoon, Red Chili powder 2 teaspoon, Black Pepper powder 1 teaspoon, Fenugreek seeds half teaspoon, Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon, Fennel seeds 1 tablespoon, 8-10 Cloves, 2 Green Cardamom, 1 Cinnamon stick 2 inches long, Star Anise 1, Nutmeg powder one-forth teaspoon and Mace 1. Dry roast all the spices one by one on a low flame, let the spices get roasted from outside as well as inside. Later let them cool down and add powdered spices, grind them together. Store this powder in an airtight container for future use. You will get 5 tablespoons of Tandoori Chicken Masala Powder by this method, increase ingredients in similar ratio to get more dough. If you do not have access to pure spices then use Majithia Tandoori Chicken Masala to get taste of pure spices with ease.
