Cricket Injuries And Prevention

Cricket injuries are often because by hitting from cork ball or getting slipped on crickets pitch. Strain on muscles of arms and legs are increased by over hitting or bowling. Cricket is outdoor game. Players often have to play it in extreme heat or cold environments. Most common cricket injuries are shoulder, elbow, back and knees injuries. Because of cricket injuries from bursting to broken finger it is recommended to keep the player away from game for some period. This rest period may be of short or long duration. Which definitely affect the career of the professional player.
Hitting of cricket live score ball to player may result a cracked ribs or broken fingers. Fielders often have shoulder injuries because of throwing the bowl forcefully. There are some types of cricket injuries which are very much common in this game.
Direct blow injuries: when a player is stuck by cricket bowl or collides by other player or clashes in the boundary then this injury is occurred to player. On the delivery of the bowl, batsman has to take quick decision whether to take back foot ...

Overuse injuries: injuries because of over running, throwing or bowling. Fast bowlers are reported to have overuse injuries. Other overuse injuries are related to catching, throwing or running. Stress fractures, shin pain and muscle tear may be a reason of long running during matches
Injuries can be protected by wearing correct fitted cricket equipment. They are very important to wear for the batsman as well as for the wicket keeper in order to avoid any serious injury. At every match, first aid box should be present. Although it’s very difficult to define what kind of equipments should be present in first aid kit, it’s usually depends upon the level of the training. General injury preventions can be taken in advance. Some of prevention tips are:
Adequate stretching or warm up before the starting of the match would help to reduce the risk of any major injuries.
Environment condition affect the hardness of the pitch and weather may also play key role in increasing the risk of injury.
Appropriate footwear should be considered by all cricketers, especially by the bowlers. Fast bowler with flat feet’s should take advice from doctor about appropriate footwear.
Returning to game too early after recovery may cause further injury. Injury should be handled carefully, helps from further injury.
Now days cricket depend more physical efforts from cricketer to make their career successful. So it’s better to understand the games and player requirements in order to deal with these cricket injuries.
