Storage is a problem that catches up with every family at one point or another. When packing for a move, families need a place to store items that are not being used and have been packed until the big day arrives. Sometimes, finding a place to store season items, such as clothing, to avoid cluttering the home is an issue. In either case, finding a good, safe storage space is important. Some facilities offer boxes of different sizes to make packing the items to be moved or stored easier to accomplish. Others offer locks for sale on site in the event you forgot to acquire one prior to bringing a load to the space. Other packing supplies, such as bubble wrap or furniture coverings are offered by higher end and service oriented storage facilities.

There are also companies that offer the services of professional movers who can come in, pack all of the contents of a home, load these contents onto a large moving van, hold them in storage until called for, and deliver them to the new home. Of course, such full services come at a higher cost than using self storage facilities and your own vehicles or self operated, rented moving vehicles such as U-haul or Ryder truck rentals.

As you can see, there are several things to consider when looking for a way to meet your storage needs when planning a move or just doing seasonal cleaning. Price will probably be a major factor as well, but you should really focus on the nature and cleanliness of the facility you are considering and the level of service offered. Any additional items or services offered should figure into your decision as well.
