Like anything military, the shirts automatically come with a sense of pride built right in. Some t-shirts have memories built right in from the first time you put it on. Perhaps you remember your son's graduation from basic training where you bought the shirt. Overall, a military themed shirt says you are an American that supports those that serve in todays military and remembers the traditions of yesterday. It shows a little pride in the system that makes us free and it also shows who you are. I often find when I see someone wearing a shirt like this that I can approach them and 9 out of 10 times they were prior military. This is a great conversation starter to talk with someone I have a commonality with.
