The main attention and focus towards android is due to its enormous features and the ability to install lot of applications. The name Smart phones to android phones are mainly due to their ability to act very smartly in video chats, play games, to take pictures and in viewing it back. And the duration of using the mobile phone has increased a lot .This results in the drying up of battery soon. As more people are now using Android mobiles, the focus towards the battery saving and battery life has increased. The users will be happy, if they would use the phone at least for single day with a recharge. If there is more power, the users will have more fun. The battery will degrade soon when many applications are running in the background. There are several ways by which the battery use can be extended. The steps to increase the battery life are as follows.

Reduce the Sleep time out: By setting the phone sleep time less, the power usage can be increased. By setting the sleep time very less it will be very annoying for the user’s .So the time setting can be set as 30 seconds or else to 1 minute.

Turn of location based access: The location option of the phone can be turned off when the user is not using the location based application.
