India should have ideally been a sustainable society long ago, considering the huge population it has to cater to. Unfortunately, India joined the sustainability bandwagon much later in time as compared to the other developing nations like China and Brazil. But the fact is, when it comes to initiatives like these, it is never too late to adapt.

Importance of Sustainability

Sustainability is broadly divided as eco sustainability, social sustainability and economic sustainability. In the current scenario, India needs to adapt all three sustainability initiatives to be on the right path of success, but ecological sustainability is the most important. In layman terms, ecological sustainability is nothing but using the planet and the natural resources in a responsible manner so that we can share them with the next generations.

India is among the leading nations to contribute towards innovation and technological development. Indian too is adapting the international Green Technology initiative, which is the next level of technology. The main aim of Greentech is to generating newer and cleaner renewable energy resources and inventing machinery that promotes sustainable living.

Though Greentech is applied by the corporate structure, most of its initiatives can be used in daily life by the common man. Here are some Green technology initiatives that can be commonly used in the corporate sector as well as our daily lives.

Recycling waste to create a completely new product that can be used as raw material.
