How To Play 3 Dog Poker Online

Red Dog Poker is also known as 3 dog poker. The other names for this game are yablon, Acey-Deucey or in-between. This game is played with the standard deck of 52 cards; however, the number of decks that are being used can range from anywhere between 1 to 8 deck of cards.
The house advantage for this game is 3.16% when played with just one deck of cards; however, the house edge can decrease to as less as 2.8% for 8 deck of cards. With the increase in the number of decks the house edge keeps decreasing for the casino in this game.
Since this game uses just 3 cards at a time this game is known popularly as three dog poker. Some important points to be noted about the cards in this game are:
Suits are immaterial.
Numbers 2 to 10 is taken at face value.
Jack is valued 11
Queen is valued 12
King is valued 13
Ace is valued 14
This game is played with an initial wager. After the initial wager two initial upcards are dealt on the table. The spread between the two cards is calculated. Spread refers to distance or numbers that fall in between the two cards. Suppose the two ...
... cards are 3 and 9, the spread here is for 5 cards because there are 5 numbers in between like 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. So if the third card is going to be any of the one numbers from the spread then you win the bets and the payoffs are provided accordingly for the kind of spread you had after the deal.
If the spread between the two cards is just 1 card in between, then the payoff provided will be 5:1.
If the spread between the two cards is just 2 cards in between, then the payoff provided will be 4:1.
If the spread between the two cards is just 3 cards in between, then the payoff provided will be 2:1.
If the spread between the two cards is 4 to 11 cards then the payoff provided will be 1:1.
The smaller the spread, the less likely the odds are for you landing up with the cards required to fill in the spread. A spread of 7 or more cards is in many cases more favorable for the player. This concept is applicable regardless of the number of decks used in the game.
If there is no spread between the two numbers where both of them are in a serial order, then the game is considered to be a push and the bets are returned to the players. If the player has bet on the third card being within the spread and if the third card is not of the value within the spread then the player loses bets. There is not really any kind of complicated strategy involved in the game and there is very not much the player can do in manipulating the possible outcome of the third card; it is absolutely related to chance.
