What is education without direction? We all know that the impact of education is optimum only when it is pursued in the right manner. The Symbiosis Institute of International Business is one of the most recommended places when it comes to seeking academic excellence. With its flagship program of MBA in International Business more than two decades old, SIIB is an institution that constantly endeavors to achieve its goal of academic excellence. In line the MBA in Symbiosis legacy, SIIB has always preached it programs in a manner that accentuates the overall learning curve of every student. In fact, academics are just one part of the life at SIIB. Every student is made to undergo academics and industry interface programs. However, SIIB also hosts several events as part of its routine curriculum.
These events are integral part of the life at SIIB as well as the other Symbiosis Institutes. The core purpose of these events is to enable the students to flex their muscles and practice their class room learning in real situations. ... as well as MBA in Energy and Environment come forth to organize, compete and enjoy at the same time. These events need not always be academic. The college also hosts annual fests which are excellent stress busters for the students.
Recently, SIIB hosted DISHA, a unique initiative that discussed the career opportunities in the domain of environmental management and sustainability organized by Ekonnect Knowledge Foundation, Sustainability Initiatives. This unique conference was hosted over a period of two days and witnessed overwhelming response in terms of participation from audience across categories. The two day conference proved to be an excellent knowledge exchange platform and touched upon crucial topics pertaining to the basics of building a strong career in the area of environmental management. In fact, the event was open for participation from different colleges as well.
The function was inaugurated with a keynote address by the Chief Guest, Mr.Pramod Chaudhari, Chairman of Praj Industries. First day of the event consisted of 3 panel discussions covering topics like Evolution and Emerging Opportunities in Environmental Management, Sharing of Experiences, Opportunities of Higher Education and Research, and the Employer's Perspective. Day two consisted of sessions on issues of Energy Efficiency by SIIB faculty Mr. Dipen Paul; Life Cycle Thinking, Green Products by Mr. Shantanu Roy, from EMC; Sustainability and Business Reporting by SIIB faculty Mrs.Shilpa Kulkarni; Green Buildings and Smart Cities by Mrs. Anagha Paranjape (VKe environmental, Sustainability Initiatives). The conference concluded with a session by Dr. Prakash Rao, Head of Department of Energy and Environment.
The event also saw experts and industry professionals from major companies like Oikos, Philips,TSG, Ecoaxis, Tata Motors, Forbes Marshall. These experts came forth to share their views on current trends and also shared their experiences the students motivating the students to pursue their dreams with renewed zest. http://www.siib.ac.in
