Looking for a job or campus placement interview? The hiring season is ON. Every year, top MNCs and branded companies go to renowned colleges like IITs and IIMs to select the best among the brightest batch of the year. This year, the companies will turn over to the NON- IT as well as second tier colleges to choose their prospects.

The potential in IT students is tremendous no doubt, thus, it would be fair enough to give equal chance to everyone instead of preferring a selective slot. However, due to unfavorable market conditions, around 22% decline in the IT recruitment is also foreseen. It is believed that due to global uncertainty in automation and non-linear growth, even the new engineering placement season is getting turned in a rather drab economic backdrop.

Though the good part is that credibility will be favored and other renowned engineering colleges of Rajasthan and all over India will also get placement hiring from brands. Hundreds of non-IIT and second-tier colleges are now getting into a placement overdrive. The colleges are calling in newer industries, inviting more companies, settling for good salaries, ...
... setting up benchmarks and encouraging more students to entrepreneurship.

Last year, the placement record was of 85%, it will be interesting to see the percentage these companies will sign up for this year. Figures show, the average salary has gone up from 8.9 lakh for the batch of 2012-13 to 11.4 lakh for the class of 2013-14. The campus placements for the engineering colleges start from mid of July and continue for the next eight to nine months. To begin with, those from core engineering industries, research and development industry and sectors as automobile, manufacturing are ready to take their pick. The IT giants, which hire in large numbers, come mostly around September but, this year they seem to pick up the best handful among the lot.

Top engineering colleges have not only upgraded their educational level and geared up with latest and advanced resources but, are also actively working towards exploring best suited opportunities and career options for their students. This has indeed encouraged prospects to take up challenging roles in the field of engineering & IT.

This year, IT giants will hire in September during campus placements and again in May-June, to bulk up their off-campus placements. So, all the students and staff of renowned and AICTE approved engineering colleges better be ready!
