You can complete your testing task more economically and faster, if you use Ultrasonic Testing method instead of Radiography method. Ultrasonic Testing's applications are measurement of wall thickness, corrosion mapping, testing lamination, flaw detection (such as welds, forgings, castings, etc.) material's density and hardness measurement.
Dye Penetrant Inspection, or you can also say it Liquid Penetrant-Inspection. Being the fastest, widely used and economical NDT method, you can detect the discontinuities of the surface breaking in every non-porous substance (ceramics, metals or plastics).
