Zoom, zoom, zoom. That's the sound of Mazda driving off with a trunk load of awards for the technology and the performance of their fine line of automobiles. Mazda owners know they are quality automobiles. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance giving Mazda’s the best value award, simply confirmed it. . The 2014 Mazda3, Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5 were named the best values in their class. This validates the work and technical innovations Mazda has put into their automobiles.

If there was any doubt, these awards are proof Mazda's SKYACTIVE technology produces positive results. All three vehicles were recently redesigned using this proprietary new technology. The redesigned Mazda’s offer great fuel economy, dynamic performance, superior safety and in-car connectivity and leading-edge technology. The Mazda’s boast luxurious appointments, superior materials, top of the line performance and award winning design at a very affordable price. The new Mazda’s offer consumer’s great value, advanced materials and premium craftsmanship, making it easy to find a Mazda vehicle with best value.

Kiplinger's Best Value Awards are part ...
... of their Annual Car Buyer's Guide. It looks at vehicles based on price and segment. They also rank all the vehicles based on fuel economy, safety, pricing and performance. To be considered for Best New Model the vehicles must be new or redesigned. To be included in the Best in Class category, the vehicles must have been on the road for a year or more, or their powertrain must be essentially unchanged from prior years. Kiplinger's also names the Best Resale Value and the Most Fuel-Efficient vehicle in each category.

Mazda won Best New Car Under $20,000 for the 2014 Mazda3 i Sport, the Best New Car $20,000-$25,000 for their 2014 Mazda6 i Sport and Best in Class – Small Crossover for the 2014 CX-5 Touring. It was a major haul for Mazda and shows what they can do when they put their focus on a mainstream model. The judges found the three Mazda’s to be engagingly designed, more upscale than their price tags would indicate and fun to drive. Although the CX-5 has tons of space and all the safety features you want in an SUV, it is also a blast to drive.

The 2014 Mazda3 compact car and Mazda6 mid-size sedan are brand new. They feature all new in-car and safety technology, and a host of exceptional standard equipment. From i-ELOOP capacitor-based regenerative engine braking system to the next generation in-vehicle connectivity MAZDA CONNECT™ system and the innovative Active Driving Display, these vehicles are leading Mazda into the future. The i-ELOOP system is available on both the Mazda3 and Mazda6. Currently MAZDA CONNECT is only available in the Mazda3. But it signals the future is very bright for Mazda and those who drive them.

The third generation 2014 Mazda3 comes in two body styles. The MSRP for the 4-door model starts at $16,945. The price of the 5-door model starts at $18,945. Both models can be purchased with either a standard SKYACTIV-G 155 horsepower, 2.0-liter gasoline engine or the optional 184 horsepower SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter engine. The 2.0L models come with either a SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission or a SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual transmission. For now, the 2.5L models can only be purchased with an automatic transmission.

This is also the third generation 2014 Mazda6. At $20,990 MSRP it comes with a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L engine, and either a manual or automatic transmission and best-in-class highway miles per gallon. The CX-5 first appeared in 2013. The new model has best-in-class fuel economy and SKYACTIV technology. Both the Mazda6 and the CX-5 feature the crash avoidance system called Smart City Brake Support. The CX-5 also employs KODO "Soul of Motion", an all-new design language and is available with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0L or 2.5L engine. It also can be equipped with either a manual or automatic transmission. The MSRP for the 2014 Mazda CX-5 is $21,395.
