Ladybugs are predators; they love to eat different insects and most of them considered pests that are annoying for humans who are into growing plants. Ladybug’s life cycle
The life cycle of a ladybug is not really different from that of a butterfly. This is because the ladybug went through the same stages as a butterfly such as the egg, the stage, the larvae, the pupa and the adult stage. The first stage in the life of a ladybug is the egg stage. In this stage the female ladybugs will lay eggs under the leaves to protect the eggs from predators and from the harsh weather as well. The mother ladybug usually laid 10-15 eggs in just a single place and she always make sure that the place where the eggs will be laid is safe and has food for all the eggs. The eggs of the ladybug are similar to small versions of jellybeans. It is during springtime when ladybugs lay eggs, whenever you see a leaf during this season make sure not to touch it or you might just kill the ladybug’s babies.
The next step is the pupa stage and this is after the ladybug laid the eggs. The larvae will start to turn into a shrimp like figure and it will also find a leaf wherein it can attach and fall asleep for days. Next to this stage is the stage of adulthood and it will happen after completing the metamorphosis stage where you will see the skin of the larvae with open slits and then the adult ladybug will show off.
