Ladybugs are predators; they love to eat different insects and most of them considered pests that are annoying for humans who are into growing plants. Ladybugs are also known as the best friends of the gardeners because they eat different insects that are pestering their plants. Some of the insects that ladybug eats are aphids and this are known as a real pest for plants. This is one of the reasons why a ladybug is known as the gardener’s best friend due to the fact that they can control the growth of pests in your garden without using any kind of chemical. Did you know that even the larval of the ladybugs do eat aphids?

They also eat other types of insects with soft bodies such as flies and other plant pests. A ladybug is not considered as a pest. As a matter of fact, because of what they eat, they can be thought of as exterminators. However, most of the ladybugs follow a certain type of diet that enables them to eat other pests. Ladybug’s life cycle
The life cycle of a ladybug is not really different from that of a butterfly. This is because the ladybug went through the same stages as a butterfly such as the egg, the stage, the larvae, the pupa and the adult stage. Even if you are familiar with the look of the ladybug during its earlier life, can you recognize it as it goes through its final stage? In this article, you will learn a lot of important things about the ladybug, its life cycle and what things ladybugs eat. These things are important especially if you want to learn more about it.

The first stage in the life of a ladybug is the egg stage. In this stage the female ladybugs will lay eggs under the leaves to protect the eggs from predators and from the harsh weather as well. The mother ladybug usually laid 10-15 eggs in just a single place and she always make sure that the place where the eggs will be laid is safe and has food for all the eggs. The eggs of the ladybug are similar to small versions of jellybeans. It is during springtime when ladybugs lay eggs, whenever you see a leaf during this season make sure not to touch it or you might just kill the ladybug’s babies.

The next step is the pupa stage and this is after the ladybug laid the eggs. The larvae will start to turn into a shrimp like figure and it will also find a leaf wherein it can attach and fall asleep for days. Next to this stage is the stage of adulthood and it will happen after completing the metamorphosis stage where you will see the skin of the larvae with open slits and then the adult ladybug will show off.
