Taj Mahal: The Taj Mahal is a beautiful Monument in Agra city which is famous for love that’s why Agra city is called ‘The Love city of India’. And the Taj Mahal is made by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Arjumand Bano Begum {Mumtaj Mahal}. Actually she was his third wife and shah Jahan loved her a lot. And Sikandar Lodi was the first Sultan of Delhi who shifted to Agra and lived in the fort. And the Architects laid the foundation and it was built with bricks in the inner core with sandstone on external surfaces. Some 4,000 builders worked on it daily for eight years, completing it in 1573.
Sikandra: This monument is about 7 km from Agra city on the Agra-Mathura Road on NH No.2. Sikandra Lodi, and the powerful king of Lodi Dynasty, and it was made it his capital in 1492 A.D. Emperor Akbar the great, selected this place for his burial and started the construction work in 1602 A.D. but it could not be completed while Akbar Lived. It is said the wish of Akbar was it actually he wants to be buried here so as per his wish he was buried here and the main building of Sikandra it was made by Akbar and it was finally completed by his son Jahangir in 1613 A.D. and it is said that time the expense of the construction of Sikandra it was 15 lacks Rupees which is spent by Jahangir.
Itmad-ud-Daula: It’s situated on the opposite side of river Yamuna and it about 1.5km from the city. It was built by Empress Noor Jahan in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who was the Prime-Minister of the Mughal Court. It was started in 1622 A.D. and was completed in1629 A.D.
