JAIPUR:

The ruler of Amber Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II it was founded on 18 November 1727 by him. Jaipur has a semiarid climateunder the Koppen climate classification, receiving over 650 millimeters of rainfall annually but most rains occur in the monsoon months between June and September. And there are three gates facing East, West, and North and a Northern gate which faces toward the ancestral capital of Amber, while many gates face South. For Jai Singh IIand his advisor Vidyadhar, the founding of Jaipur was aritual and opportunity to plan a whole town according to the principles of Hindu architectural theory.

Hawa Mahal: This palace is a five-storey pyramidal shaped monument that rises to a height of 50 feet from its high base. And the top three floors of the structure have a dimension of one room width while the first and second floors have patios in front of them, on the rear side of the structure. The front elevation, as seen from the street, is like a honeycomb web of a beehive built with small portholes. And the interior of the Mahal has been described as “having rooms of different colored marbles, relieved by inlaid panels or gilding; while fountains adorn the centre of the courtyard”.

In 1820 Maharaj Gulab Singh got the Jagir of Jammu from Maharaj Ranjit Singh. He is said to have laid the foundation of the Dogra dynasty. In 1846 Kashmir was sold to Maharaj Gulab Singh.

Pari Mahal {Kashmir}: This is one kind of garden. And this is located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range over-looking city of Srinagar and south-west of Dal-Lake. And the gardens were established by Prince Dara Shikoh in the mid-1600s on the ruins of a Buddhist monastery. This garden is really worth to see in Kashmir city.
