A CyberBullying Research Center study surveyed a random sample of close to 900 youth between the ages of 11 and 18 from a medium-sized school district in the southern United States. Data was gathered in June of 2009 from 8 different schools. Cellphones are the most prominent technology used by adolescents with over 84% of youth in the CyberBullying Research Center sample report having used one at least once per week. Sending texts (79.8%) and taking pics with hand held phones (73.9%) are also very common.
