It is not uncommon these days that the general public is aware of the various dental procedures. Unlike the past, nowadays people are up to date about the latest advances in the field of dentistry, and that is due to the fact that information is easily available on the internet. Obviously the fact that people are becoming more conscious about their general health and physical appearance can not be ignored too. Students, soon after their undergraduate can also enrol in taught masters and pursue their PhD degree. Community dentistry is also another career choice that most students make nowadays that was unheard of in the past.

With so many career oppurtunities in dentistry, more people are now conscious about their dental health. The governments having made the dental checkups a must after every 6 month has surely made one more mindful of the various dental diseases and has definitely made many dentists’ pockets heavy. Moreoever, the education system has come up with many policies that has introduced the dental work even in the younger generations. I believe this is the reason that one often see patients reporting to a dental clinic not just to treat their caries but also for cosmetic dental work. Mind u, the cosmetic dental work is being done not only by those professionals who are constantly under limelight for example the actors and newscasters, but also by the general population.
