How To Print Multiple Excel Spreadsheets At Once With Extra Customization
Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that comes standard in the Microsoft Office Suite. As a spreadsheet program, it is extremely beneficial for organizing information into different rows and columns. However, getting information into the Excel spreadsheet can be a time-consuming process. As Excel works using cells, typing information can be slow because the correctcell must be chosen each time information is entered. A list of information may all appear inside one cell instead of down a list of cells. Excel is also useful for creating tables of data. The spreadsheet layout of Excel is very useful for structuring data in rows and columns as a table. These tables allow for very quick analysis of data. However, actually getting this information into a hard copy format (on paper) can be difficult due to the tabs and active/ inactive spreadsheets in Excel. The terms of Excel can get puzzling as to what you are actually printing.
There is of course the standard method of printing. This means to initially find the Excel file that you want to print. Open the file and then click the file button in the upper left-hand ...
... corner of the Excel window. Look down the list of options and locate the one listed ‘Print'. Click this button and more options are going to be made available. Here you can choose to print either the active sheets in the workbook (sheets actively being used) or you can also choose to print all the sheets. There are additional properties that can be changed including the color of the print or the positioning of the print.
A much easier way of printing multiple spreadsheets is through software available from http://www.hothotsoftware.com/excel_multiple_file_print_software/. By heading to the website and searching ‘How to Print Multiple Excel Spreadsheets with Customization' you will find software specially designed to suit your needs. The software will open up in a single window and works entirely within a single window. This reduces the chance of getting confused by the software. You will first see an empty field at the top of the software window. Excel files needing to be printed may be added to the software by clicking the ‘Add File(s)' button or the software can look through a folder for any Excel files available. Any files selected or found will be listed in the field at the top of the window. Then you can have the machine pause for a specific amount of time between print jobs. This is useful for people who may be running slower operating systems. Then you can enter a custom header and/or footer to be inserted on each sheet that is printed out. Additionally you can pick which worksheets to print out specifically. Finally, just click the button labeled ‘Print Multiple Excel Files Now'. One item to note in regards to this software is to ensure that all Excel windows are shut down before starting the software. Due to the how the software is created having a window open can cause the program to not complete successfully.
