Vision Improvement Exercises
Vision improvement need not amount to much. Sometimes it is the little things that help the most in keeping our vision in tiptop shape. There is no need for expensive eye procedures and medication or supplementation. Simple exercises can be done to help the eyes stay in optimum condition and to prevent our eyesight from failing. These exercises are very easy to do and only need a few moments to accomplish. If anything else, the exercises only need a conscious effort and commitment from us for them to truly work.
Breathe!
Did you know that people that have vision problems tend to hold their breath when they try to concentrate and focus on something?! A conscious effort to maintain even breathing during focusing or reading is all there is to it!
Blink
Again, when we focus too much, the tendency of our eyes is to decrease the speed of our blinking. This practice dries out the eyes and is not beneficial at all to improving and maintaining good vision since lubrication of the eyes is very important.
Pause
Take the time to pause after each page or after each paragraph ...
... and look out to the trees or to something that can provide contrast from the letters on the page. This act relaxes the eyes and improves vision and eyesight significantly.
Giving your eyes a few minutes of rest between reading and working is also important. Take a few seconds to just close your eyes. This relaxes the eyes and gives it ample lubrication to keep it in tip top condition.
Shift
Similar to pausing to rest your eyes and provide contrast, shifting our vision from something nearbylets say something that we are reading like a book or magazine, sot something at a distance gives your eyes time to relax .
These are but some tips that are effective in vision improvement. They seem simple enough but it is easy to forget and go back to old habits so we should always be vigilant in consciously following these tips. Also, it is important to remember that most of the vision related problems arise from bad habits that are formed so being conscious of the good habits that can help the eyes and promote vision improvement.
