If you have already planned your summer vacation in Rio, you have made the right choice as a lot of things are happening in July in Rio de Janeiro. Besides the fascinating nightlife, superb beaches, Rio has a lot to offer on the cultural side.

For example, this month the 19th Open Doors Art is being held at Ateliers in Santa Teresa, Cultural Spots, restaurants and stores. This event gathers no more than 77 visual artists that act in Santa Teresa and are divided into 48 workshops and 19 Cultural Spots. More than that, the show will be offering a selected gastronomic program which will surely be to the delight of the public.

Also this month in Rio, the IV International Environment Symposium which is being held at Casa de Ciências - UFRJ - Rua Lauro Müller, 3 - Botafogo and its main purpose is to exchange information related to the quality of the environment, renewable energy and environmental awareness development. This event will start on 6th of July and end 4 days later. The International Symposium On Changas' 100th Anniversary will be held at Hotel Sofitel Rio de Janeiro - Av. The centenary of the Municipal Center Theater will be celebrated this month and some of the most important cultural figures of the Brazilian art culture will be present here. For equestrian enthusiasts, the Athina Onassis Internation Hore Show will be held this month in Rio de Janeiro at Sociedade Hípica Brasileira - Av. Borges de Medeiros, 2.448 - Lagoa. This show has been in the GCT schedule since 2007 and only here you get to have a look at the best horsemen and horsewoman gathered from all over the world
