The danger in alcoholism is that it appears fun from outside but is a silent killer inside. It does not affect the body harmfully at first, but if one gets addicted then it disturbs many body organ functions, which later on, leads to serious malfunctions leading to death. If a person does not seek Alcohol Rehab Treatment Programs it may result in fatal heart disease.

Studies have shown great connection between heart problems and alcoholism. Most affected are the males who usually get more chances to consume alcohol than females. Alcohol causes heart attacks, strokes and sudden heart failure in many ways. In some people, it increases cholesterol which gradually increases blood pressure. This leads to many other complications such as clogged arteries, which make grounds, for sudden heart attack. In other people, alcoholism directly affects the heart by causing cardiac arrhythmia (disturbed rhythm of heart beat, either too fast or too slow, all of a sudden). This case has equal benefits and losses as the person gets warned and they can get proper treatment. But if the person ignores it, there is a great risk of a ...
... sudden heart attack or stroke.

Studies have shown that alcoholic males of middle age are more likely to contract heart diseases than any other alcoholics. The most common heart troubles with this age group of alcoholics are medically called Cardiomyopathy. It’s a medical term given to a set of various heart problems such as enlargement of heart (partially / completely), weakness of heart muscles, thinning of heart’s inner lining along its walls, hardness of heart muscles and difficulty in pumping blood normally.

The above mentioned heart problems are quite rare in other male alcoholics of younger age groups. But anyone who consumes an excessive amount of alcohol may trigger their body system to adopt these conditions early on. Thanks to the latest research and medical discoveries that they have invented several ways to prevent this from happening.
